On 1st January and 1st February 2012, FIA CEO David Stalker was quoted in several national media outlets responding to the OFT’s announcement that it is launching an investigation into gym contracts, including the BBC, the Daily Mail and The Sun.

On Wednesday 19th May 2010 the growth of the industry was highlighted in the Times Business section. The article reported that Britain's health and Fitness Industry reported growth for the tenth year in a row, rising by 1% to £3.8 billion.
